Job Summary:



  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, and will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the clinic.

  • This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively with the clinic's administrative and medical teams.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting:



  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:



  • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.


Payroll Management:



  • Process payroll accurately and on time.

  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.


Tax Compliance:



  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Assist with audits and tax planning activities.


Financial Analysis:



  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.


General Ledger Maintenance:



  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.


Internal Controls:



  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the clinic's assets.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification such as ICAN is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards and tax regulations.

  • Integrity and ethical conduct in handling confidential financial information.
