Job summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.


• As an Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial information, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.


• Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial to this role, as you will be responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies and recommending improvements to our financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records and statements, including general ledger, balance sheet, and income statement


• Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness


• Analyze financial data and reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions


• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations


• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities


• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies


• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial information and support decision-making processes


• Manage all accounting transactions


• Prepare budget forecasts


• Publish financial statements in time


• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings


• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable


• Ensure timely bank payments


• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns


• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements


• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity


• Audit financial transactions and documents


• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary


• Comply with financial policies and regulations


• Prepare Accurals, recievable and payable account reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with 3 - 5 years work experience.


• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices


• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications and OPERA PMS (very important)


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Keen attention to detail and accuracy


• Strong organizational and time management abilities


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work both independently


• Hotel experience is a must.
