Danuwa is dedicated to improving access to preventive, risk mitigation, and response services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Katsina State.
We are seeking a committed Protection Officer to join our team and support the implementation of protection activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement protection strategies based on global standards and UNICEF guidelines.
Support to conduct training for community-based child protection committee members and volunteers.
Facilitate access to medical care, psychosocial support, legal assistance, and safe spaces for SGBV survivors.
Monitor and evaluate protection activities.
Coordinate with local NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection and SGBV programs.
Understanding of humanitarian principles and protection standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in diverse environments.
