Job Description/Responsibilities



  • Analyze and diagnose hardware and software problems with mobile devices brought in for repair.

  • Conduct thorough examinations to identify the root cause of issues, such as broken screens, battery problems, or software malfunctions.

  • Perform repairs and replacements on various components of mobile devices, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, and microphones.

  • Use specialized tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble phones while following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.

  • Test repaired devices to ensure that all issues have been addressed and that they are functioning properly.

  • Conduct quality checks to verify that repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Perform software troubleshooting to resolve issues such as operating system errors, software glitches, or malware infections.

  • Install software updates, patches, and security fixes to ensure device functionality and security.

  • Assist customers with transferring data (such as contacts, photos, and apps) from their old devices to new ones.

  • Provide guidance on data backup options to help customers protect their valuable information.

  • Interact with customers to understand their device issues and provide clear explanations of repair options and associated costs.

  • Communicate repair timelines and updates to customers in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain inventory of replacement parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs.

  • Order new parts as needed to replenish stock and ensure availability for repairs.

  • Keep detailed records of repairs performed, including customer information, device details, repair procedures, and parts used.

  • Generate repair reports and invoices for customers, documenting the work done and any warranties or guarantees provided.

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries while handling tools and equipment.

  • Adhere to industry regulations and manufacturer specifications when performing repairs to ensure device integrity and warranty compliance.

  • Stay updated on the latest mobile device technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.


Other Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Sciences / Telecommunication, Electrical Electronics Engineering or any related discipline.

  • Must have 2 - 3 years experience with Smartphone troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Must have completed NYSC.

  • Should not be above 35 years of age.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite-Excel, word & PowerPoint.


Skills:



  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues on a variety of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.

  • Familiarity with mobile device components, such as screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, and circuit boards.

  • Problem-solving ability.

  • Resourcefulness to adapt to evolving technologies and find innovative solutions to repair challenges.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Customer Service Skills (Excellent communication skills to interact with customers professionally and effectively explain repair options, costs, and timelines).

  • Adaptability and learning agility (Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies, repair techniques, and customer demands in the rapidly evolving mobile device industry).

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, including other technicians and front desk staff, to coordinate repair processes and deliver seamless customer service.
