Duties & Responsibilities
- To deliver accurate and timely financial and statistical information to the Central Bank of Nigeria/Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation.
- Generation of Consolidated Trial Balance from the Bank’s core application (EBS).
- Creation and population of all working templates for preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual bank’s returns.
- Obtaining all supporting schedules from relevant departments for preparation of returns.
- Prepares the Statutory returns for CBN on a daily, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual basis on CBN DCS platform.
- Prepares the Statutory Parastatals returns for CBN on bi-monthly basis.
- To submit timely and accurate financial returns to regulators within stipulated time.
- Respond efficiently to any queries which may arise from the returns to CBN/NDIC.
- Provision of requirements for CBN/NDIC on site examination.
- Provision of explanation and ensure resolution of issues raised during CBN/NDIC on site examination.
- Provision of audit requirements for External and Internal Audits.
- Provision of explanation and ensure resolution on issues raised during audit.
- Perform adhoc duties as may be required from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Minimum Education: First Degree in Applied or Social Sciences.
- Additional: Higher Degree / Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or its equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum experience: Two years of relevant banking operations and financial control functions.
