Job Summary

• Accountable for the Operation & Maintenance of Power Plant down time, integration of sensors, controllers, and machineries.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develops and implement strategies and plans to ensure all major transmission equipment and facilities are regularly inspected to promote effective operation.


• Accountable for the trouble-free operation of all Power Plant equipment by adopting the Preventive /predictive maintenance of the equipment in the Power Plant.


• Accountable for the maintaining and monitoring the record of miscarriages and taking corrective actions.


• Prepared the annual expenditure budget for his/her sections and analyze the variance (Budget Vs Actual) and imitate necessary effective control system.


• Plans & executes the jobs informed by the operation team in the sections entrusted for smooth operation of the plant.


• Shall report to the Head Power Plant any events of Mechanical Equipment’s complications.


• Manage risk and expectation to ensure safe and successful delivery.


• Ensuring the standby equipment availability all time and maintaining the critical spares for the equipment in respective area.


• Plan and execute Servicing and maintenance of the Power plant equipment during off cop period.


• The training needs to be identified for your subordinates and draw necessary schedule to import the training at regular intervals.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement of a B-Tech/BE/BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering/HND


• Possession of a certificate for Boiler Operating Engineers (BOE) is mandatory


• Additional advantage if certified by COREN, NSE, or any related professional qualification


• At least 7-10 years of experience in any Power Plant, with preference given to those with experience in Bagasse Based Power plants


• Hands-on experience with Travelling Grate Boiler using Bagasse as Fuel is required, with a minimum boiler pressure rating of 87 bar


• Experience in Back Pressure & Condensing Turbines is necessary


• Experience in Fuel / Ash Handling System is required


• Proficiency in Boiler / Turbine DCS Automation Operation is a must


• Basic computer skills are expected (MS word, excel & power point).
