Job Summary

• Accountable for the Operation & Maintenance and coordinating/overseeing instrumentation activities of Power Plant and down time.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activities of the control and instrumentation section.


• Allocates responsibilities and provide technical advice to ensure smooth running of the plant.


• Ensure proper supervision of lower subordinate performance for smooth operation of the plant.


• Maintain and ensure trouble-free operation of all Power Plant equipment by adopting the Preventive /predictive maintenance of the field instruments equipment in the Power Plant.


• Maintaining and monitoring the record of miscarriages and taking corrective actions.


• Maintains the history cards of the equipment in the sections entrusted and keeps the track of maintenance activities attended.


• Plans & executes the jobs informed by the operation team in the sections entrusted for smooth operation of the plant.


• Report to the Instrument in charge Power Plant any events of instrumentation Equipment’s complications.


• Controlling the operation of the boilers, Turbine, and other auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.


• Ensure adoption of SOP during operations


• Synchronize with related dept engineers for charming operation.


• Execute Servicing and maintenance of the Power plant equipment during off cop period.


• Ensure all safety protocols are observed.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of B-Tech/BE/BSc/HND in control and Instrumentation.


• Hold a preferred certificate on Boiler Operating Engineers (BOE).


• Hold a COREN, NSE or any related professional qualification.


• Have at least 5-8 years of experience in any Power Plant.


• Experience in Bagasse Based Power plant will be an added advantage.


• Hands-on experience in Travelling Grate Boiler with Bagasse as Fuel. The boiler should have a minimum pressure rating of 87 Bar.


• Experience in Back Pressure & Condensing Turbines and Fuel/Ash Handling Systems.


• Familiarity with Boiler/Turbine DCS Automation Operation.


• Have basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
