Job Description
Job Overview:
- The ideal candidate should be highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Pharmacist who will manage the pharmacy location in Agbowo, Ibadan.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing excellent pharmaceutical care to our customers.
- The candidate must reside in Ibadan and will report directly to the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Pharmacy Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Agbowo pharmacy.
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including sales representatives.
- Ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked and all inventory is up to date.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all controlled substances.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
Customer Service:
- Provide professional and efficient pharmaceutical care to all customers.
- Counsel customers on the proper use of medications and potential side effects.
- Handle customer complaints and queries in a timely and professional manner.
Clinical Duties:
- Dispense prescription medications with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure correct dosages and medication interactions.
- Conduct health and wellness screenings and provide immunizations as required.
Staff Training and Development:
- Train and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure high standards of customer service and pharmacy practice.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase pharmacy sales and customer base.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals to promote the pharmacy’s services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Should be a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and hold a current PCN certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least a year in a supervisory or management role.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, healthcare professionals, and staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations.
- Proven leadership and management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Residency:
- Ideal candidate should reside in Ibadan, preferably close to the Agbowo area.
