Job Description



An ecommerce store in LEKKI is looking to hire a Storekeeper/Packing Officer to take inventory, document, pack and label products and store items.


Responsibilities: 



  • Receive and forward/dispatch all goods and deliveries to their point of use or storage area.

  • Monitor and take inventory on regular basis to compile orders based on current levels or needs.

  • Maintain clear and organised records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene.

  • Verifies that all items received as it relates to agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.

  • Ensures the quantity of items requested matches quantity received/issued.

  • Conducts physical stock audits on a weekly basis.

  • Manage inventory and report excesses or shortages to the Picking manager.

  • Pick, pack, label packages and process orders.

  • Pick items according to order lists or as advised by the picking manager or the manager in charge. Also, the condition of all picked items must be verified.

  • Return all inbound items if need arises from stores to their disposal.

  • Confirm the accuracy of orders and signing of tags to indicate picked pallets.

  • Awareness of updates on item configuration.

  • Assist with other warehouse functions.


Requirements:



  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Physically fit, as the work involves lifting and quite a lot of walking all day.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Computer Literate.

  • Experience in retail, inventory management or FMCG warehousing will be an added advantage.
