Job Description
Our client (Group of Companies) is a trading and manufacturing group with diverse investments in consumer goods, electronics, automobile accessories, paper and many more high- impact products. Due to expansion, they are in need of a HEAD OF WAREHOUSE.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and control the use of the Warehouse to ensure the maximum use of available space and a safe, efficient and profitable operation which meets customer and business needs
- Oversee the dispatch operation to ensure that it operates efficiently, effectively and safely and meets customer requirements
- Maintain a liaison with the production and transport operations to ensure that there is effective coordination of all operations and that customer requirements are met
- Provide advice and guidance to company managers and staff on warehouse utilization,logistics, pallet control, transport cost etc
- Carry out projects relating to the use of the warehouse and logistics to improve operational effectiveness
- Direct and control the staff of the warehouse to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated, and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards
- Maintain all necessary records of goods stored and dispatched
- Formulate and implement Branch’s policies and procedures to maximize output
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
- Plan the use of human resources
- Organize recruitment and placement of required staff
- Establish organizational structures, Delegate tasks and accountabilities
- Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR and Accounts
- Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions
- Liaison with top management Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
- Implement and manage operational plans
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field
- 8 -10 years in similar role
- Knowledge of branch operations
- System Implementation Functional Expert
