Job Description

• Role Model School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our dynamic team.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sports program, with a special focus on football and basketball coaching.


• The Sports Coach will also oversee all school sports activities, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for various sports, with a special emphasis on football.


• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions, drills, and game strategies tailored to different skill levels.


• Provide individual coaching and support to student-athletes to help them improve their performance and skills.


• Foster a positive team spirit, sportsmanship, and a competitive yet respectful environment among athletes.


• Analyze team performance and make strategic adjustments to enhance team effectiveness.

Football Coaching:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive football program, including training sessions, drills, and game strategies.


• Identify and nurture talent, providing individual coaching and support to students of varying skill levels.


• Organize and oversee football matches, tournaments, and other related events.


• Foster a positive team spirit and sportsmanship among students.

Sports Activities Coordination:

• Plan and coordinate a variety of sports activities and events throughout the school year.


• Oversee the use and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.


• Collaborate with other staff members to integrate physical activity into the overall educational experience.


• Develop partnerships with local sports organizations and community groups to enhance the school's sports programs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, performance, and progress.


• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.


• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders about students' progress and any concerns.


• Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science / Physical Education, or a related field.


• Coaching certification or licensure as required by the state.


• Proven experience in coaching football and other sports.


• Strong knowledge of sports coaching best practices and current trends in athletics.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes of all ages and abilities.
