To lead the developing and executing of world-class solutions that offer clients a strategic competitive advantage by clearly articulate a comprehensive Client Value Proposition (CVP) which includes mitigating risk in Global Trade and optimizing the utilization of the clients Working Capital and thereby generate sustainable economic returns for RMB and FRG. To formulate and execute the trade and working capital sales strategy with stakeholders such as the client groups and products partners etc. To take responsibility for identifying trade and working capital opportunities using deep rooted product skills and business acumen. The role has a Global Product Ownership (GPO) mandate.



  • Developing and implementing market leading trade and working capital products and services for corporate and institutional clients and other client segments, such as commercial client segment, (as agreed with the relevant stakeholders).

  • Working across TTS and other relevant areas in the group, to design and implement ecosystem solutions across key market areas.

  • Be responsible for implementing and maintaining world class cash conversion services through an industry leading platform (partner or acquired).

  • Responsible for implementing a scalable operating model for trade and working capital products.

  • Identify and capitalize on African trade flows that aligns with RMB and the FRG.

  • Enabling effective client engagement with the bank on the trade and working capital suite products.

  • Offering product and operational advice and contributing to innovative and customized solutions tailored to meet specific client needs.

  • Ensuring strict adherence to laws, regulations, governance frameworks, internal risk, and compliance policies and controls.

  • Provide financial solutions to facilitate international trade transactions, such as import and export financing, letters of credit, and bank guarantees (trade finance).

  • Help businesses optimize their cash flow by providing financing options based on their supply chain activities, e.g. early payment programs, vendor financing, or inventory financing (supply chain finance).

  • To oversee and develop continuous analysis and understanding of the organization value proposition (pricing, rewards, product features, channel enablement) relative to the competition and enhancing the product to drive market share growth through tracking market share and developing actionable plans to reach our market share targets.

  • Working with the IT and Operations to proactively determine product, process solution and system gaps (due to system defects, inappropriate designs, etc.) and assess pricing projects and initiative appropriately in terms of cost/benefit analysis to ensure alignment to business objectives and manage pricing exception and development of new products with a focus on Innovations.

  • Financial modelling of top-line and P&L (Profit and Loss) scenarios, confidently managing imperfect information.

  • Focuses on new markets and new business opportunities and or activities to generate additional income and revenue growth with pricing.

  • Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices and implement appropriate interventions to ensure compliance with audit requirements for pricing policies and processes.

  • Demonstrate leadership behaviour through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organisational values.

  • Manage people by executing management responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence.
