Duties & Responsibilities



  • Act as primary point of contact for suppliers.

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on company requirements.

  • Research vendors to identify best options, evaluating total cost and quality.

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.

  • Monitor and communicate price fluctuations and vendor pricing updates to relevant departments.

  • Engage in SLA service agreements, collaborating with end-users and legal department to ensure favourable terms.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.

  • Develop and implement innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies.

  • Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.

  • Review existing contracts to ensure ongoing feasibility.

  • Review purchase orders and manage the delivery of goods and services.

  • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.

  • Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term cost savings.

  • Analyse current spend and identify areas for cost reduction and service improvement.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high-spend, complex, and critical categories.

  • Play a key role in the sourcing and procurement of capital equipment.

  • Work closely with operations and finance to develop and implement an MRO inventory management system.

  • Provide direction and support to teams on critical business initiatives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather category requirements and specifications.

  • Conduct thorough spend analysis and develop tracking methodologies and metrics.

  • Prepare procurement reports.

  • Attend audit meetings and address any audit and compliance issues


Requirements



  • A Degree (B.Sc / HND Preferably in Accounting / Business Administration / Engineering)

  • Minimum of five (5) Years’ experience in indirect procurement

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (Navision)

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
