- We are seeking an Account Manager to be based in Port Harcourt, Rivers Nigeria as part of Welltec’s Global Sales function.
- You will be reporting to the Country Manager West Africa and work closely with the West Africa Operations team.
The Position
- You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts.

- This role requires a strong understanding of Welltec products and services, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
As an Account Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
- Technical selling of Welltec products and services to new or existing customers within a designated geographical scope
- Sales processes from lead to proposal to invoicing
- Expanding existing accounts by identifying selling opportunities and negotiating with clients and costumers
- Nurture and maintain relationships with customers and clients and coordinating with internal subject matter experts
- Forecasting and reporting sales data
- Reporting to management about account performance and proposing areas for improvement or growth
- Tracking and reporting respective customer, competitor and market intelligence
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet sales targets
The candidate
The ideal candidate has the following profile:
- A relevant Degree in Engineering or similar
- At least 5 years experience working with sales within the oil and gas upstream industry with a demonstrated successful account management record
- Strong relations management skills and a competent negotiator
- Highly-motivated by ensuring high customer satisfaction, networking and closing deal
- Creative and forward thinking with an excellent strategic mindset that can be utilized to realize new business opportunities or identify, develop and execute sales strategies
- Results-oriented and persistent
- A solid ability to analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future sales and identify areas for growth
- Excellent English language skills
- Previous relevant experience as a field engineer will be an advantage.
