Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive Art and Design lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.


• Student Engagement: Inspire students through creative teaching methods and encourage exploration and experimentation in art and design.


• Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and preparing students for examinations.


• Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment that fosters respect, creativity, and enthusiasm for the subject.


• Resource Management: Maintain and organize art materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.


• Extracurricular Activities: Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and school events.


• Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in art education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A Degree in Art and Design or a related field.


• Experience: Proven experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary school level, including experience with diverse art mediums and techniques.


• Passion: A genuine passion for art and design, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.


• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Creativity: Innovative approach to teaching, with the ability to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the classroom.
