PURPOSE OF THE JOB


Responsible for the protection of FMN's reputation, assets, and long-term sustainability by implementing and fostering a strong culture of ethical and compliant business practices supporting the Compliance Manager.


 THE JOB



  • Create awareness of corporate compliance polices including Code of Conduct to employees and other stakeholders.

  • Administering compliance software and effect updates.

  • Conducting compliance risk assessment as input to audit plan.

  • Follow up with Human Resources Managers and obtain updates on the extent of employees’ undertaking attestation of compliance with Code of Conduct.

  • Monitor compliance database to ensure compliance with captured compliances.

  • Follow up with compliance champions on the level of compliance with regulatory requirements and obtain information on new laws /amendment of existing laws.

  • Conduct audit of corporate policies and procedures for compliance.

  • Carry out periodic audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory obligations.

  • Conduct festive season gift reviews and assist in administering withheld gifts.


 THE PERSON MUST



  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

  • Have clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates strong judgment and problem-solving competencies.

  • Be assertive and confident interpersonal skills.

  • Have proven ability to manage organization wide programs with budget management.

  • Possess critical thinking with good attention to details, information and people management skills.


QUALIFICATION



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Finance or related discipline.

  • A professional qualification or certification in compliance-related discipline will be an added advantage.


 EXPERIENCE



  • At least 2 years’ cognate experience.
