Job Summary



  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automobile Car Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying high-quality paint finishes on various vehicles in our automotive repair and refinishing facility.

  • This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and a thorough understanding of automotive painting techniques and materials.


Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish.

  • Mix and match paint colors accurately to achieve the desired shade and hue.

  • Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and other finishes using specialized automotive painting equipment, such as spray guns and paint booths.

  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects and imperfections, and perform necessary touch-ups or re-painting.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper ventilation and safety protocols are followed.

  • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive painting techniques, materials, and industry best practices.

  • Provide accurate estimates for painting services and maintain detailed records of work performed.


Qualifications and Skills



  • High School Diploma or equivalent; formal training in automotive painting or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Automobile Car Painter in a professional setting.

  • Proficient in the use of automotive painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, paint booths, and mixing systems.

  • Excellent eye for color matching and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of automotive safety regulations and procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy equipment.


Additional Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certification from recognized automotive painting training programs (e.g., I-CAR, PDRI).

  • Experience with various types of automotive finishes, including metallic, pearl, and candy paints.

  • Familiarity with computerized paint mixing and color-matching systems.
