Roles & Responsibilities Description
- Extract value from what we already have by focusing on optimizing processes within the Unit/Department in line with the value creation philosophy. This includes individual contributions and recommendations to improve existing business project/initiative.
- Drive Innovation by identifying and taking advantage of new business opportunities, e.g., by stimulating and encouraging new business opportunities, launch of products, product/process innovation, business model innovation etc.
- Maintain leadership in the ICT/Digital industry by partnering with the Organization’s Partners to improve their processes which in turn will improve the efficiency of the Organization’s operations.
- Enhance/expand Oragnization’s role in the larger national macro environment by participating in CSR projects and/or NGO’s, involvement in recognized professional institutions, participating in think-tank activities etc.
- Sustain the right organizational culture and behaviors by demonstrating the vital behaviors every time.
Overall Objective: Anticipates problems and proffers solutions before the problems occur by gathering and analysing data.

- Assist with demand delivery within budget (time and financial) and within defined quality criteria.
- Provide Demand Manager with up-to-date financial position on all projects.
- Assist in compiling project charter including projecting project scope, problem statement and goal statement.
- Establishing the required scrum ceremonies for assigned teams
- Assist with planning and organizing in line with recommended tool sets
- Work with the Product owner to define Product roadmap for the Tribes
- Coach team members in Agile frameworks and practices
- Coordinate all Scrum activities including sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
- Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders)
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
- Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
- Ensure adherence to all PSCOM processes towards delivering Epics and User stories
- Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
- Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
- Measure progress per Scrum team by identifying team velocity, story-points, estimation, and other agreed parameters
- Gather relevant status and assist in providing with up-to-date information on all active sprint deliverables (where applicable) to Agile Manager
- Track sprint activities in compliance with planning guidelines and plans
- Develop Sprint plans for all assigned scrum team
- Ensure proper maintenance of the Product backlog of the assigned scrum team with the alignment of the product owner
- Capacity and resource management skills towards managing internal capacity and resources with the Sprint delivery
- High level understanding of the telecoms enterprise architecture.
- Schedule and track quality assurance reviews within the Scrum team and assist with formal success reviews
- Organize and facilitate meetings, sessions and workshops and document minutes of meetings, weekly reports or any other reports identified as relevant to the demands.
- Prepare and circulate status update reports including burndown chart, burn-up chart
- Track and monitor identified risks and proactively escalate risks in accordance with related escalation rules (where applicable) and procedures.

Education:
- First degree in any related discipline
- Fluent in English
- Certification in Scrum Master
Experience:
- 2-5years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience with working with others
- Experience working in a small to medium organization
- Candidates must have good use of computer and JIRA + Confluence software packages
- Experience in managing small to medium sized teams
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ensures/Facilitates all scrum ceremonies - Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective
- Supports & helps the Product owner to manage product backlog
- Evangelize scrum practices & principles
- Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes
- Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements
- Resolving issues that hinder the teams' work
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team
- Ensure all Scrum events are productive, effective, and timeboxed.
- Ensure the Product Backlog is the single, centralized source of work for the Team.
- Contribute to establishing the Sprint Goal; monitor Sprint Progress; resolve and remove impediments to Sprint Workflow; drive In-Progress items to Done by collaborating with the Developers.
- Manage and optimize the Workflow to improve Throughput while maintaining a sustainable pace.
- Measure, analyse, and report on Project and Team progress, including - Sprint Status, Team Velocity, Sprint Progress, Blockage Patterns, WIP, Cycle Time, Throughput metrics, Burndown Charts, Burn Up Charts.
- Help determine Project Estimates and Service Level Expectations and other forecasts of Delivery by utilizing Agile metrics and empirical methods.
- Enable change within the Team and the organization to continually drive efficiency and achievement of business goals.
