Job Description



Our client is one of Nigeria's indigenous industrial groups operating in the energy and non- energy sectors. They carry out Operation and Maintenance of Offshore Production and Storage Facilities; Offshore and Onshore Logistics Support Services; EPCI of Oil and Gas Facilities; Mooring and Installation; Chartering and Management of Offshore Support Vessels; Procurement and Materials Supply services; Training and Manpower Development; Bunkering Services; Tank Farm Operations etc.


Specific Responsibilities



  • Establish one-on-one relationships with drivers to sustain and uphold Continental Express team-oriented culture.

  • Perform administrative functions, including repair, ordering maintenance and compliance documentation

  • Maintain fleet records, renew  vehicle registrations, permits, documentation etc.

  • Work with drivers to establish a service route in a company-provided vehicle

  • Coordinate and schedule third-party vendors for equipment installations and/or repairs.

  • Ensure safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.

  • Take the lead in understanding, communicating, and resolving any vehicle issues related to safety, hardware & software failure, or preventative maintenance.

  • Collaborate with safety, human resources, billing, and other internal departments as necessary.

  • Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and make the job more effective.

  • Management of accidents/incidents and work with insurance carriers to resolve claims

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure quality and proactive responses to the needs of vehicles and staff.

  • Responsible for sourcing, hiring and training of new drivers.

  • Respond to and handle emergency situations with composure and logic

  • Direct accountability of an operational budget and financial tracking of all fleet expenses and expenditure.


Requirements



  • 5+years experience as a Fleet Supervisor and related field.

  • The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any related discipline.

  • The candidate should be able to set and monitor a budget.

  • Good problem solving skills-solving critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics,including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.

  • Great communication skills.

  • The candidate must possess excellent leadership skills,goal setting, motivation and training.

  • The candidate should possess multitasking abilities .

  • Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
