Job Description



  • As a Biology teacher, you will be responsible for teaching biology to students in a classroom setting, developing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and educational research to ensure that your teaching methods are effective and engaging.


Responsibilities



  • Teach biology classes to students of various age groups and skill levels

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational research

  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed

  • Stay current with curriculum developments and educational research to improve teaching practices

  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

  • Grade assignments and exams, and provide feedback to students

  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment

  • Supervise students during lab activities and field trips

Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Education, or a related field


Experience:



  • Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting

  • Experience teaching biology to students of various age groups and skill levels

  • Valid education certification and teaching license.

  • Strong commitment to student learning and academic achievement
