Job Description:
- Assist the program manager in the design, implementation and management of Welcome2Africa International programs, identify opportunities for new initiatives or program expansion towards achieving the organizations vision and mission.
- Facilitate partnership with government agencies, donor organizations, private firms, international organizations and other service providers interested in trade and investment in Africa.
- Assist in carrying out stakeholder mapping
- Adequately maintain and update stakeholders and partners database under the supervision of the program’s manager.
- Assist in making phone calls and sending out emails to follow up with partners/stakeholders.
- Implementing and monitoring Standard Operating Procedure for all program activities.
- Participate in developing and nurturing collaborations with external partners including donors and individual supporters, policy makers, media and other stake holders.
- Ensure that all staff and volunteers adhere to the project implementation principles.
- Represent the organization in seminars, workshops and other capacity building trainings beneficial to the organization.
- Assist in the capacity building of staff/volunteers towards ensuring effective and efficient project implementation.
- Research on donors interested in funding organizations that are focused on agri businesses and prepare grant proposals.
- Identify and compile list of potential investors, partners and relevant stakeholders that the organization can work with.
- Work with the investment analyst to map out beneficial agri investment pathways and come up with initiatives that will be of interest to investors.
- Manage and respond to project related email and attend project meetings
- Prepare, maintain and update website materials
- Prepare articles, reports and presentations on behalf of the organization.
- Any other task as may be assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a related field and experience in programs and research
