The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and monitor diseases and conditions related to hematology.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized hematology tests, including blood counts, coagulation studies, and bone marrow examinations.
Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and quality control procedures.
Collect, process, and analyze blood samples according to established protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss test results and provide diagnostic information.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and regulations.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory tests and results.
Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in hematology.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent.
Current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hematology laboratory.
Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and technology.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
