We seek a highly qualified and passionate Literature-in-English teacher to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching literature courses to students at the high school or college level, developing curriculum, and assessing student progress.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and engage students.
Responsibilities
Teach literature courses to students at the secondary school level.
Develop and implement curriculum for literature courses, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
Assess student progress and provide feedback to students
Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Participate in school events and activities
Stay current with developments in English literature and pedagogy.
Requirements
Education:
Master's Degree in English, English Education, or a related field
A Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field may be considered for entry-level positions.
Experience:
2+ years of teaching experience in a high school or college setting
Experience teaching literature courses at the high school or college level
Experience developing and implementing curriculum.
Skills:
Master's degree in English, English Education, or a related field
Strong background in English literature
Excellent communication and teaching skills
Ability to inspire and engage students
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively with colleagues and administrators
Familiarity with curriculum design and assessment.
