Responsibilities
As an Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
- Preparing budget forecasts and financial projections to support organizational planning and decision-making processes.
- Processing tax payments and returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
- Reconciling accounts on payments made by Vendors regarding the Kaduna State Waste Management project and reconciling any discrepancies that might arise.
- Managing all accounting transactions and ensuring proper documentation and recording of financial data.
- Preparing and presenting financial statements in a timely and accurate manner to support financial reporting requirements.
- Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Reconciling accounts payable and receivable, identifying and resolving any outstanding issues or discrepancies.
- Ensuring timely bank payments and monitoring cash flow to support liquidity management.
- Reporting on the company’s financial health and liquidity, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
