Job Description

• We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Economics teacher to join our team of educators.


• The successful candidate will teachEconomics to students at the secondarylevel, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress.


• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Economics, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to changing curriculum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that cover the fundamental concepts and theories of economics, using different instructional methods and resources.


• Facilitate discussions, case studies, and problem-solving activities to encourage students to analyze and interpret economic data, policies, and trends.


• Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to help them improve their understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.


• Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and any disciplinary issues.


• Collaborate with other social science teachers to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum.


• Stay updated with the latest developmentsin Economics, Economic policies, and Economic education.


• Contribute to the overall development and enrichment of the school community, including participating in extracurricular activities related to economics or finance.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Economics, or a related field.


• Teaching certification.


• Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching economics or a related social science subject at the secondary level.


• Demonstrated success in creating and implementing effective lesson plans and assessments.


• Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in helping students develop a deeper understanding of economic principles and their real-world applications.


• Ability to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical analysis and respectful dialogue.
