Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing pharmaceutical care and counseling to our patients and customers while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide accurate and timely advice on medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Manage and oversee the hospital pharmacy, including inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Supervise Pharmacy Technician to ensure efficient and accurate medication dispensing.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medications and answer any questions they may have.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Utilise Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate patient records and medication histories.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pharmaceuticals and healthcare practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and dosage management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Desirable
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Experience in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
