Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing pharmaceutical care and counseling to our patients and customers while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. 

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and other healthcare professionals.


• Provide accurate and timely advice on medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions.


• Manage and oversee the hospital pharmacy, including inventory management and ordering of supplies.


• Supervise Pharmacy Technician to ensure efficient and accurate medication dispensing.


• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.


• Educate patients on the proper use of medications and answer any questions they may have.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.


• Utilise Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate patient records and medication histories.


• Stay updated with the latest advancements in pharmaceuticals and healthcare practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.


• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).


• Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and dosage management.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.


• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

Desirable

• 2-5 years of experience.


• Experience in a hospital setting.


• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
