Job Summary 


The Human Resources Officer will support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.


Job Responsibilities



  • The human Resources Manager in conjunction wit the HR Manager, develop HR planning strategies which considers immediate and long-term staffing requirements. 

  • Supporting the development of HR initiatives and systems including HMO relationshp, pension, and benefit administration.

  • Maintain employee records (attendance, equal employment opportunities (EEO data etc) according to Company Policy and legal requirements.

  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures.

  • Liaising with wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety. 

  • Developinig and implemting policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, disciplinary procedures and absence management. 

  • Ensuring that staff get paid correctly and on timely basis by making sure that attendance is promptly updated on the ERP system.

  • Develop and update attendance on the HRIS system.

  • Assisting line manager to understand and implement policies and procedures.

  • Planning and sometimes delivering training including inductions for new staff

  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with line managers

  • Recruiting staff - this includes developing job decriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates. 

  • Resolving disputes & grievances among employees in the work places.


Requirements and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Science or any related discipline with 1-3 years work experience.

  • Proven work experience as HR officer or other HR position preferably in a manufacturing industry

  • membership of CIPM or any other HR certification is preferable. 


Required Skills:



  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices

  • Well versed in HR and Payroll Management Systems (HRIS systems)

  • Excellent people management skills and able to relate to all levels of the organization

  • A strategic partner able work effectively with other heads of units

  • Strong communication, active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
