Job Overview
- Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to join their team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily bookkeeping, maintaining accurate sales records, handling procurement, and performing various accounting duties to support our business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including daily transactions, receipts, and payments.
- Accurately record and track sales transactions, prepare sales reports, and ensure timely invoicing and collection of payments.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and maintaining inventory records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced.
- Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring all expenditures are recorded and authorized.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against the budget.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
