  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm.

  • The Farm Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and supervision of all agricultural operations and activities on the farm.

  • To maximize productivity and profitability, he will oversee the efficient and sustainable management of the farm's resources, including land, livestock, equipment, and personnel.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.


Responsibilities



  • Manage the farm's day-to-day operations,including crop planning, planting, and harvesting.

  • Develop and implement crop rotation plans to ensure soil health and maximize yields

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and infrastructure

  • Manage the farm's budget and make sound financial decisions to ensure profitability

  • Hire, train, and supervise farm staff, including seasonal workers

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to sell farm products

  • Maintain accurate records of farm operations, including crop yields, expenses, and sales

  • Collaborate with other farm managers to share best practices and improve overall farm performance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards


Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field

  • 2 -3+ years of experience in farm management or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of crop production, soil science, and agricultural practices

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lift heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment

  • Experience with farm supervision and training

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing weather conditions and crop demands

  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons

  • Familiarity with organic farming practices and sustainable agriculture principles.
