Job Summary


Vendease is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Supply Planning Lead to oversee our demand forecasting, supply planning, procurement, and inventory management functions. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our marketplace, helping food businesses scale and thrive through reliable financial and operational solutions.


Job Details


In this role, you will: 



  • Develop and Execute Supply Chain Strategies: Align supply chain operations with business objectives to ensure optimal performance.

  • Demand Forecasting: Utilize advanced analytics and predictive models to forecast demand accurately.

  • Procurement Planning: Plan and manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing overstock and stockouts.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliability.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support overall business goals.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key supply chain metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.


Requirements


Experience & Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

  • 10 - 12 years experience in Supply Chain or Logistics leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in large scale FMCG e-commerce


Competencies



  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive digital transformation and innovation in logistics

  • Knowledge of financial acumen, including supply chain costs, budgeting, and financial metrics

  • Ability to lead  and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and predictive modelling

  • Expertise in supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and related technology solutions

  • Familiarity with risk management, regulatory compliance, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, communication, and collaboration skills
