SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITES


To oversee all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, cost control, financial analysis, internal controls, team leadership, regulatory compliance and strategic planning to ensure the restaurant the restaurants financial health and support its overall objectives.


MAIN FUNCTIONS:



  • Managing the restaurant's financial transactions, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

  • Preparing and presenting financial statements, reports, and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns.

  • Monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost-saving measures to improve profitability.

  • Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making, such as pricing strategies and investment opportunities.

  • Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

  • Supervising and mentoring finance staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes affecting the restaurant industry and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Collaborating with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the restaurant's goals and objectives.

  • Oversee financial transaction processing and reconciliations within the organization, ensuring that robust controls are in operation and workloads are managed effectively.

  • Collaborate branches to ensure new income generation initiatives incorporate sound financial controls and efficient processes whilst meeting business need.

  • Lead on the annual statutory year-end requirements, agreeing timetables and responsibilities with all involved, with the primary focus being to achieve a clean audit.

  • Ensure that all Management are provided with accurate, timely and relevant information.

  • Review and authorize the monthly payroll process, working with HR in maintaining an efficient service.

  • Support the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team in developing and producing strategic and business plans and work with them to develop a planned work programme for the organization.


PERSON PROFILE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



  • BSc in Finance or Accounting with minimum of 5-7years

  • Experience in Restaurants Business/manufacturing Accounting

  •  ICAN/ACCA certification mandatory.

  • Must be Conversant with the Accounting Software specially ERP
