  • Our client is seeking to hire a seasoned and experienced Procurement Officer.

  • The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate the ability to take initiative.

  • This role requires a forward-thinking individual capable of efficiently managing procurement processes to ensure the seamless supply of goods and services.


Responsibilities



  • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies necessary for the production of the finger foods.

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability and quality.

  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast requirements to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

  • Implement inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels efficiently.

  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Implement strategies to enhance procurement costs while maintaining product quality.

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Conduct quality checks on received goods to ensure they meet the company’s standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement status, cost analysis, and supplier performance.

  • Work closely with the production and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business goals


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.

  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in pastry is an added advantage.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management and procurement best practices.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
