Job brief


We are looking for a passionate Data Collector.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection using the provided data collection tools/devices across facilities in the assigned state after obtaining appropriate consent from participants.

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of the data collected, and ensure it is consistent with established standards and requirements.

  • Work effectively with the state lead and other collaborators to ensure timely delivery of project tasks and coordinate efforts to gather the necessary information.

  • Ensure that data is properly categorized, labeled and organized for easy retrieval and analysis.

  • Follow established procedures for data collection and ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

  • Provide regular reports and updates on data collection progress and results to state lead and project manager.

  • Submit daily data collection progress reports during the data collection period/transcription.

  • Transcribe all qualitative data and translate where necessary.


Required qualifications:



  • HND or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience with data collection methods, tools such as ODK/Kobo Collect/SurveyCTO.

  • Knowledge (reading, speaking, writing) of Hausa Language

  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications like Ms Word, access.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines for data collection and privacy.


Note: Data collectors must be based in Adamawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Taraba, and Zamfara. Males and Females (age 20-35) should apply.
