Job Purpose/summary

As an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing towards the preparation of Civil/Structural Designs and deliverables for basic/conceptual, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) according to specifications.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

• Prepare Civil design and deliverables for feasibility studies, conceptual/basic engineering, FEED and DED.


• Prepare Civil/structural Steel Design calculations


• Prepare of a fit-for-purpose steel and concrete drawings.


• Carry out design of Foundations for equipment, shelters, pipe supports/Piperack, platforms, etc.


• Prepare concrete and steel design calculation reports for Client’s approval


• Prepare of Concrete and Steel technical specifications.


• Prepare material take-offs and Tender documents.


• Ability to interpret Geotechnical and Topographical reports for a fit-for-purpose foundation design.


• Perform inter-discipline design checks


• Visits site for verification and as-built documentation.


• Adhere to the Scope of Work (SoW) and the prepared Master Document Register as it concerns Civil discipline.

Required:

• B.Eng. Civil/Structural Engineering or other related discipline.


• Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar role.


• Civil/Structural engineering expertise and competency in Basic Design, FEED and Detailed design.


• Excellent use of Engineering Software’s (i.e SACS, STAADPro, Tekla, Orion, AutoCAD, Ms Office and MS project).


• Conversant with National and International Codes, Standards and Engineering Practices used in the industry AISC, ACI, API-RP2A, Eurocodes and other International standards and company codes
