Job Summary



  • The IT Officer maintains, upgrades, and manages the software, hardware, and networks.

  • The IT Officer ensures the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, providing technical support and advice to users, and managing IT projects


 Responsibilities



  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.

  • Monitor and maintain network and server performance.

  • Provide technical support to staff and troubleshoot hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.

  • Ensure IT security by implementing data backups, antivirus software, and access controls.

  • Set up and maintain computer hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

  • Manage IT inventory and ensure timely upgrades and replacements.

  • Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance and security.

  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and information.

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs.

  • Plan and execute IT projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and installations.


Qualifications



  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree / HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

  • Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven experience as an I.T. officer or similar role.

  • Strong and adequate knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with various operating systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
