Job Description
Job Purpose
- As the Head of Finance, you are responsible for the overall financial integrity, operations, investing and working capital management of the organization.
- You are accountable for the financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and to report accurate financial results.
- The accountant will review and reconcile ledgers and financial statements and maintain banking relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations of the subsidiary and implement operational best practices.
- Prepare daily reports to the GMD, Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts, arrange for debt and equity financing.
- Review and reconcile ledgers and financial statements.
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
- Devise and implement manual or computer-based system for general accounting
- Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
- These reports include balance sheets, income statements, and tax returns.
- Formulating and review of finance policies and procedures
- Direct and coordinate activities of other accountants performing accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
- Regular training of accountants within the group
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure that all financial data is correctly captured and reported.
- Audits and prepares reports to substantiate transactions prior to settlement.
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Certifications
- BSc in Accounting and a minimum of seven years’ experience
- Professional certifications are an added advantage.
Experience:
- At least 3 years’ professional experience in the travel industry.

- Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels

- Advanced ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skill.
