Job Description



  • The General Manager, Financial Control will be responsible for directing and managing the company’s financial operations to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency. This role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Financial Controller responsibilities also include financial risk management.

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition

  •  Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

  •  Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

  •  Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance

  • Support month-end and year-end close process

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

  • Additional controller duties as necessary


Requirements



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 7 years in a senior financial control role

  • Certifications: Professional certification such as ICAN, CPA, CFA, or ACCA.


Skills:



  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the Technology space preferably in Telecoms

  • Familiarity with financial management software or tools

  • Proven track record of successfully managing financial audits and regulatory compliance.
