About the job

• The Contract Manager monitors and ensures adherence to post orders, defined standards and operating procedures by the operatives, and overall contractual service level agreements.


• The jobholder patrols and monitors the activities of operatives across assigned locations, drives and ensures strict compliance with Halogen standards for operational excellence; escalates issues, threats or infractions and engages appropriate officers for prompt resolution; and provides reports and updates on assigned locations.

Guards Supervision

• Decode post orders to the operatives and ensure strict adherence to the post orders at the protected locations


• Maintain complete and uptodate site filles at all locations


• Maintain strict discipline and adherence to laid down regulations by the operatives under his command


• Monitor and drive of compliance of guards and beat security operations with service level agreement for overall service excellence and compliance with contract terms


• Monitor ensure complete guard strength in assigned locations


• Patrol and monitor the activities of guards and beats in assigned locations


• Monitor and ensure complete and proper kitting of all guards in area of responsibility


• Provide guidance to guards on assigned duties


• Handle guards’ complaints and facilitates prompt resolution


• Download information from clocking device from all the allocated locations to the mobile downloader for reporting


• Provide onsite onboarding, training and support for guards continuous learning, development and performance

Surveillance

• Conduct patrol tour of the protected premises and ensures compliance with Halogen standards; identify and escalate (potential) security risks, threats etc.


• Assist the Zonal Head in the administration of processes, procedures etc.


• Respond promptly to client complaints or requests; escalate to appropriate officers as required


• Provide security and related insights to enhance security operations and service delivery


• Identify risks, threats and service infractions through patrols and ensure speedy intervention/resolution.

Reporting

• Prepare daily incident or related reports for and give recommendations for improvement


• Complete and submit weekly patrol sheet to Zonal Head


• Give feedback on daily routine activities

Qualification

• Minimum of OND or equivalent in a related field


• Relevant professional certification from a recognized body would be added advantage e.g. PSP.

Experience

• Minimum of three years’ experience in security operations or a related field.

• Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with others to common goals; interact positively and build good working relationships


• Risk Assessment: Risk awareness; ability to identify security risks and threats in assigned locations, proffer ways to mitigate the risks and engage with Line Manager(s) on solutions


• Supervisory Skills: Ability to supervise subordinates effectively and ensure compliance with service standards; required guard strength, post orders and discipline


• Time Management: Ability to manage work time effectively for optimum output and delivery of tasks as at when due


• Report Writing: Ability to gather required information and prepare report for submission in the approved format


• Compliance Monitoring: Knowledge of Halogen operational policies, procedures and service standards, and the seamless enforcement of same at assigned location
