Job Summary
- The MIS Officer is crucial in managing and improving our Management Information Systems, using their expertise in accounting or banking and finance.
- This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy, generating insightful reports, and supporting decision-making.
- The ideal candidate will enhance data management processes, maintain systems, and collaborate across departments to drive strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate databases.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate useful reports.
- Use advanced Excel and other data analysis tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and databases.
- Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports to support management decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in MIS technologies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the MIS Manager or Head of MIS.
Skills Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Proficiency in other data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Information Systems or any related field.
- Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in MIS roles within accounting or finance settings.
