Job Description

• In conjunction with the Chief Finance Officer, the Head of Finance will oversee all financial aspects, including cost and management accounting, financial forecasting, budgeting, and investment risk assessment.


• This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains the company's financial integrity.


• Additionally, the Head of Finance is responsible for driving financial growth, optimizing profitability, and making strategic decisions to enhance the company's financial well-being

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.


• Demonstrate proficiency in financial management by utilizing comprehensive accounting and reporting systems to support informed decision-making.


• Effectively manage working capital components, focusing on inventory management, accounts receivable, and cash balances.


• Contribute to long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making, developing comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and business plans.


• Monitor budget performance, identifying variances and recommending adjustments as needed.


• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.


• Assess the financial implications of strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights.


• Continuously review and analyze performance, reporting variances to management and stakeholders.


• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate performance, profitability, and efficiency, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.


• Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions, providing strategic recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university


• MBA is a plus


• Professional Certification / Membership (ICAN or ACCA)


• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar senior management role preferably within the Retail, Banking, Manufacturing / FMCG sector.


• Strong Knowledge of Tax and Risk Management.


• Required: sound experience in Financial / Management Accounting, Treasury Management, Budgeting and Reporting, IFRS Accounting Standards.


• Large multi-cultural team management experience


• Solid judgment with the ability to make good decisions.


• Strong leadership capabilities.
