Job Responsibilities



  • Visits assigned customers.

  • Prospects for new customers.

  • Communicates parts orders to counter people.

  • Review any special orders with the parts manager and obtain approval.

  • Verify receiving documents.

  • Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.

  • Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns and make sure the problem is corrected to the customer and dealership’s satisfaction

  • Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain the functioning of equipment.

  • Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.

  • Locate and label parts and maintain inventory of stock.

  • Advises whether the status is stock or emergency.

  • Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.

  • Record all sales and customer transactions that occur.

  • Updates customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses, etc.

  • Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to the Parts Manager.

  • Fill customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are out of stock.

  • Place new merchandise on display.

  • Attends training seminars when possible.

  • Performs other tasks as required by the Parts Manager.


Requirements



  • HND/BSC/MSC in Business Administration or related field

  • 5-7 years experience in selling spare parts in an automotive industry is most preferred

  • Should be knowledgeable in merchandising

  • Must maintain a professional appearance.

  • Strong communication skills.
