Job Summary

• We’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Accountant to join our growing finance team.


• As the heartbeat of our cost management efforts, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate cost accounting and financial analysis to support our manufacturing operations.


• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze production costs, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and provide valuable insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze production costs and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of cost accounting records.


• Monitor inventory levels and reconcile inventory accounts to maintain accurate inventory valuation.


• Prepare and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead, ensuring alignment with actual manufacturing costs.


• Lead periodic time study efforts.


• Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency.


• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation reports.


• Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.


• Provide financial analysis and reporting support to management, including cost projections, budgeting, and forecasting.


• Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


• Assist in the preparation of the COGS accounts for the annual budget and forecasting.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.


• Minimum of 3+ years of experience with cost accounting in manufacturing environment.
