Job Summary



  • We are seeking an Athletics Coach Manager who would be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, mentoring athletes, and guiding them towards achieving their highest potential in their respective sports.

  • The coach will work closely with athletes of varying skill levels to enhance their performance, ensure their well-being, and promote a positive and competitive team environment.


Key Responsibilities

Training and Development:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of individual athletes and the team.

  • Conduct regular practice sessions focusing on skill development, strength conditioning, strategy, and teamwork.

  • Monitor athletes' performance, provide constructive feedback, and adjust training plans as needed.


Competition Preparation:



  • Develop game strategies and plans to maximize team performance.

  • Analyze opponents' strengths and weaknesses to formulate effective game plans.

  • Ensure athletes are physically and mentally prepared for competitions.


Mentoring and Support:



  • Provide guidance and mentorship to athletes, fostering their personal and athletic growth.

  • Address any personal, academic, or athletic concerns of the athletes, ensuring their overall well-being.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture.


Administrative Duties:



  • Maintain accurate records of athletes' performance, attendance, and progress.

  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to coordinate practice schedules, travel arrangements, and other logistical details.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.

  • Previous coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.

  • Proven track record of developing athletes and successful team management.

  • Strong knowledge of the sport(s) being coached, including rules, strategies, and techniques.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is an advantage

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Passion for sports and dedication to athlete development.

  • Integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to ethical behaviour.

  • Female preferred for gender balance.
