Job Description
Responsibilities
Customer Service and Sales:
- Serve customers by selling products and services and meeting their needs.
- Greet potential customers, listen to their needs and problems, and guide them toward products and services that address their needs.
Account Management:
- Establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
- Adjust sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet and needs of the potential customer.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Reporting and Documentation:
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
Product and Service Recommendations:
- Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Work with marketing and other departments to constantly improve customer-facing communications and product information by sharing client feedback gained in the field. Customer Complaint Resolution:
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Professional Development:
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professionalsocieties.
