The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial information to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain financial records and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Prepare and submit (PAYE, Pension payroll deductions),taxreturns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances..
Support the Finance Manager in financial planning and analysis activities.
Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and company policies.
Provide financial information and reports to management as required.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
A candidate with background in Audit will be an added advantage
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
