Job Description



  • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial information to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.


Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare and maintain financial records and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.

  • Prepare and submit (PAYE, Pension payroll deductions),taxreturns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances..

  • Support the Finance Manager in financial planning and analysis activities.

  • Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and company policies.

  • Provide financial information and reports to management as required.

  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

  • A candidate with background in Audit will be an added advantage

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Preferably female for Gender balance.
