Job Description



  • The Architect at Yardoak Project plays a crucial role in the design and development of our products.

  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Architect is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and rendering furniture designs that meet aesthetic, functional, and manufacturing requirements.

  • This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise in furniture construction, and the ability to translate concepts into detailed designs and visualizations.


Responsibilities

Design Development:



  • Understand design requirements and project goals.

  • Create conceptual sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D renderings of furniture designs using CAD software.

  • Ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilities, materials specifications, and cost constraints.


Innovation and Research:



  • Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to furniture design and construction.

  • Propose innovative design solutions that enhance product aesthetics, functionality, and market appeal.


Documentation and Reporting:




  • Provide regular progress reports to the Managing Director as required.




Qualifications and Skills



  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

  • Proven experience in furniture design and construction.

  • Proficiency in CAD software and rendering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards related to furniture production.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Ability to work with deadlinesand under pressure.

  • Must reside on the island.
