Description 



  • We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Employee Benefits Specialist to join our Employee Benefits Team.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of employee-related benefits, with a strong focus on annuities.

  • This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional client servicing skills to support the Team Lead in driving growth and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.


Sales and Marketing:



  • Develop and execute strategies to market and sell employee benefits policies.

  • Identify new business opportunities to expand the Life & Pensions portfolio.

  • Create marketing plans to enhance brand visibility and customer acquisition.


Client Engagement:



  • Provide expert advice on insurance programs to clients and prospects.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Advocate for clients in claim processes, ensuring swift and favorable resolutions.


Policy and Risk Management:



  • Accurately process and manage slips, quotes, and endorsements.

  • Collaborate with underwriters for the placement of new business.

  • Ensure all risk-placing activities adhere to company and regulatory guidelines.

  • Monitor and manage premium remittance to underwriters.


Support and Coordination:



  • Assist the Team Lead in operational and strategic tasks.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless services.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as generating job orders and preparing reports.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

  • MBA or Master’s degree is advantageous.

  • Membership with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria or London is essential.


Experience:



  • Minimum of 7 years post-graduate experience.

  • At least 5 years in a similar role within the insurance sector.

  • Strong background in Health, Group Life & Group Personal Accident Insurances, Annuities, and Pensions.


Functional Competencies:



  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong understanding of policy wordings and insurance principles.

  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to provide technical advice.
