What we're looking for
We are looking for a Sales Agent who will be responsible for promoting the Jinja platform, sourcing eligible agri-SMEs to become customers and rendering operational/quality assurance services to these customers
You must be a reliable, driven, and self-directing individual with the ability to persuade and convince potential customers to join our passion. You are a good communicator, an excellent listener, self-motivated, a natural problem solver, and a great multi-tasker who is able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Our ideal candidate will have an extensive network in the agri-SME space including established relationships with aggregators, processors and others dealing in grains and similar commodities.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage and maintain a strong pipeline of leads composed of SMEs that are potential customers for Jinja.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Isidore brand and Jinja platform and act as ambassador to all customers.
- Move SMEs across the entire sales journey from lead to paying customer, and ensure a smooth transition to customer support.
- Ensure highest quality control and assurance standards are employed in the fulfilment of each purchase order and simultaneously facilitating our stellar operational processes on and off SME sites.
- Work in concert with Customer Support Agents to delight customers throughout their experience.
- Own and deliver on expected target numbers of customers on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly bases.
- Engage with other teams in the business for 2-way comms: inform them of demand, and learn about product evolution.
- Handle customer complaints alongside Customer Support Agents.
- Be responsible for own portfolio of customers with regards to cross-selling, upselling, and value delivery.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with agri-SMEs
- Familiarity with Agriculture industry, especially purchase order management is a plus
- Super curious and diligent attitude to work. Always be prepared to show up.
- Strong relationship building and management skills

Through our Jinja platform, we provide a free mobile-first ERP tool focused on purchase order fulfilment with embedded access to capital. We also extend payables on behalf of Agro Buyers thereby reducing their need for corporate financing.
