Job Summary



  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boiler Operator to join our team. The Boiler Operator will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining boiler equipment to ensure efficient and continuous operation.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of boiler systems, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.


Responsibilities



  • Operate and maintain high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Monitor boiler operations, including water levels, pressure, fuel consumption, and temperature.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on boiler equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.

  • Conduct regular testing and analysis of boiler water and steam to maintain water quality and prevent corrosion or scaling.

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.

  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance downtime and optimize boiler performance.

  • Assist with training and mentoring junior boiler operators or maintenance personnel.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to boiler operation and maintenance.


Requirements



  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in boiler operation preferred.

  • 5 - 10 years work experience.

  • Proven experience as a boiler operator or similar role in an industrial setting.

  • Strong understanding of boiler systems, including steam generation, combustion, and controls.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to boiler operation and maintenance.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment with exposure to high temperatures and confined spaces.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, power generation, or utility plant environment
