Virtual Healthcare FP Service Provider

The Women’s Helping Hand Initiative requires a female nurse / midwife to join the team in managing the UNFPA Whatsapp Chatbot. The position is remote and a 6 months consultancy engagement

The person would leverage the whatsapp Chatbot to provide virtual counselling on contraception and family planning services, with the aim of promoting contraceptive uptake, dispelling myths and misconceptions about contraception and improving access to Family Planning services.

Qualification and Experience

• Registered nurse/midwife.


• Strong technical knowledge and expertise on Family Planning/Reproductive Health.


• Minimum of 10 years providing family planning counselling and services.


• Experience providing family planning youth-friendly services.


• Proficiency in the use of internet technologies, Microsoft office applications and social media applications.


• Excellent presentation and communication skills.


• Ability to work within deadlines in a challenging work environment.


• Experience working with local or international NGOs in the area of Reproductive Health and Maternal Health.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide individual counselling to chatbot users via chats and phone calls.


• Disseminate information to chatbot users on Reproductive Health/Family planning, safe sex practices and HIV/AIDS prevention.


• Respond to inquiries by chatbot users.


• Establish linkage of chatbot users with family planning service delivery points.


• Participate in the chatbot project implementation review meetings.


• Provide monthly summary report of services rendered.
